The "Original" SternMate™ Transducer Mounting System

( click  thumbnails  to enlarge)
Experienced boaters, fishemen and women asked for SternMate™...  We exceeded their expectations
We fish and we boat just like anyone else...maybe more. Captain Chris grew up on the Del Mar Va Peninsula, fishing and boating the Atlantic, Delaware Bay, Chesapeake, Indian River and, of course the Nanticoke. It's in our blood...boating is our heritage, our way of life...our legacy. And now we are pleased to share some of that with you.

We encountered all sorts of problems mounting transducers. We had many questions, ran into obstacles, found leaks, made errors and had concerns of all manner, just as other boaters around the world have experienced. Taking shortcuts or just not having available the proper equipment oftentimes resulted in costly, aggravating consequences. So, we did something about it and now you can too.

Boat owners are keeping their boats longer and taking better care of them more than ever. They also expect maximum performance from their marine electronics. We knew that there was a need for a unique appliance to help us better manage our transom-mounted depth-finder transducers without drilling holes below the waterline. We were very well acquainted with the tedious, frustrating, sometimes impossible task involved in adjusting a transducer to obtain its optimum signal. Oftentimes we just gave up and blamed it on the equipment, our motors, our props...the boat, the "bubbles"...the hull design. For new installations or a retrofit, SternMate was engineered and developed by us to help you the boater, fishermen and women to do the job correctly ..."the rules have changed"

Chris,
"I am a happy and satisfied SternMate customer with no holes in my boat. None.
The transducer holds the bottom depth to at least 46.4 MPH as that is as fast as I have gotten her up to since dialing in the best combination of height and angle for the mount. No rooster tail and all is well so far. Turns to port and starboard with no loss of signal, at speed.
Again, I thank you for all of the tips and information you shared with me".
