The majority of SternMate™ testing is made at Lake Ray Hubbard....a 5 minute haul to the ramp. The Carolina Skiff is our SternMate™ Transducer Mounting System test boat. The various SternMate™ photos seen throughout our website and in the video are of this boat. Today, we were running an electronic speed wheel and a Lowrance "Skimmer" transducer mounted to our new SternMateDUO™. We experienced the typical seamless performance, "tapped out" at 42.8 mph, from both transducers mounted on our flat-bottom Carolina Skiff. Flat-bottom skiffs or deep V hulls...its how you mount your transducer that makes all the difference".

"I got the SternMate Thursday and installed it on my Jones Brothers 23 Bateau that afternoon. Followed instructions to the letter and had absolutely no problems, instructions were excellent although I referenced the website actually more than the written instructions. After letting the adhesive set up I put the boat in the water this afternoon. (Saturday), I am very pleased with the unit as I can hold bottom on my depth finder, (Garmin 3210-GSD 22) up to about 26 knots on fairly smooth water, never could do that before, maybe 8-10 knots at best. I only had to make a couple of minor adjustments. I really believe if I play around with my transducer a little more I can even do better". 6/28/2010
